A story written by Lyndsay Madison
Humans, they are such disgusting, cruel creatures She though as she walked down the street in New York. They never watch where they are going. They're mortal! You'd think they would cherish their lives more. But no, they dont give a damn what happens to them or the life around them.
Angela had arrived on earth almost 100 years ago to do a study on the humans and their progress. A few weeks ago she had written a ten page paper on how the humans were killing themselves because they were knocking down entire forests for the sake of their own sanity and sent it back to her world via portal. She had had her fill of the humans; she was ready to go home.
She took the first flight to Tokyo, Japan. She could have made it from New York to Tokyo in an hour in her world but earth was well over 200 years behind the times but their sci-fi movies weren't too far from the truth, no thanks to others of her kind spreading rumors and making movies based on what happened in her world.
When she arrived in Tokyo, she walked four blocks to the right of the airport, took a left, continued four blocks, took another left, walked four blocks, took another left and continued in this manner until she reached the edge of the city where she then went straight. Her heart was beating fast, she could feel the portal surrounding her. She kept walking. She had sent a note home saying she would be home about two hours after she had arrived in the airport. Her body was stretching; that same, strange, otherworldly feeling of being transported 13 billion light-years away. But wait; her world was only eight billion light-years away. Had it moved? Not that far in 100 years. What was going on?!
She woke up in a house she didn't recognize. "Ah, you're up!" Angela jerked her head to the side and saw a man. A man with jet-black hair, smoldering moorish eyes, and delivish features was peering kindly at her. "I was beginning to worry that you would never awaken, you hit your head on that rock hard enough. Damn near cracked your skull open. You should be fine though, thanks to my mother." A hard looking woman walked by to check Angela's bandages. "Ah, how rude of me. I forgot to introduce myself. My name's Damian and this is my mother Jewel." Jewel glared at Angela. "Ah don't mind her, she doesn't trust Angels." he said. "And what would your name be?" Angela hesitated. "My name is Angela. Thank you for your hospitality but I must go now." Angela make a run for the door but Damian grasped her arm. "I wouldn't do that if I were you. People here don't take too well to angels." Angela looked startled. "How did you know?!" She asked. Damian gave a sly smile and motioned towards the mirror. Her human form was gone and in its place was an angel, her true form. Her human form must have been destroyed when she landed.
"So, what brings an angel to a demon's world?" asked Damian. "I was taking a portal from Earth and it must have been collaborated wrong." she said sternly.
